Stress and Distress
Stress usually comes when we plan to do something and something else goes wrong.
It is these little foxes that destroy the vines. Until stress brings us into great distress.
The bible gives us a prescription for it. First we trust in God nothing will happen to us that catches him by surprise. We can hold to his unchanging hand.
The prescription can be found in James I would prescribe it 3 times a day.
Until we learn to trust
Consider James 4:13-15:
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”
