I ask for bread is He going to give me stone. Ask - Seek - Knock all in verse 7
These are little words but vast doors can open on little hinges.
This is a promise to God - It's either true or not true. It's true!
The greatest fate we experience is not answered prayer but unasked prayer.
God knows alone how many blessing we could of had, but we did not ask.
Luke 18:1 Mark 14:38 Phil 4:6 - Pray or fall into temptation...
There is no substitute for prayer. We pray not to impress God or inform Him.   
Matthew 7 and 8 - Were praying to invite Him. Prayer is away to fellowship with Him.
2 Cor 6:1 - Do you want to work with God? Development factor John 15:7
A good test if you want it - can you ask God for it? Nothing is to big or small for God.
You can ask God to fix your want - just simply ask God. Jesus says just ask it shall be given to you.
The devil can not keep God from answering, but the devil can keep you from asking.
James 4:8 grow towards God and He will grow towards you. The very presence of the Lord is what we need. We need His power too, so we find the will of God. Seek Him in prayer.
James 5:16 (we need to pray for one another). Your knuckles, knees (lips) should hurt from prayer.
God will not give you something that will hurt you. Sometimes the answers are only delayed.
Luke 11:5 (wow Jesus is speaking) it's a honor to open the Word of the Lord of Lords - Kind of Kings. Be ready to feed strangers - he went next store to get some bread. The illustration is not like the man in bed not wanting to get up, but the knockers persistence.
Luke 18 The unjust judge and the widower ( I have a sermon on it a few pages over)
God will avenge those that hurt the widow and widowers.Only stop asking when God gives it to you.
You can also stop when the answer is in your heart. God could be saying no. We all have kids and God loves them - you're not going to get a serpent, but a fish! God is good and loves us more then we love our own children. God is wise and good all the time.God is a good Father to hear, and a King to answer! No one should try to be a Mother or Father that does not know how to pray.
