Thank you for not giving me more temptation then I can handle and
allowing me a way out! Lord may I see You in everything I do. May i
learn from disobedient Corinthians and be guided by your Holy Spirit.
Your Word is so compelling, so clear, so true, so encouraging, never
lowering the standard, but never generating hopelessness. The standard
is so high for virtue, goodness, and obedience! It could crush us under
the weight of our own inadequacy and yet You minister mercy to us
in that final verse - saying fear not! That puts the responsibility
clearly on us to remain in the place of blessing to learn from the
warnings of the past. May we understand the deflections and tragedies of
the past are to help us grow. Lord we pray that You keep us faithful
doing what Paul did - May we beat our bodies into submission, so that in
preaching to others we don't become disqualified ourselves. May
we discipline our bodies, give us self control based on loving You all
mighty God! May we do this with all our hearts, mind, and strength. We
want to honor, glorify, and enjoy Your blessings! As Jude put it may we
keep ourselves in the Love of God - in the place where love showers us -
that is the place of obedience. May we confess our sins and love You
tomorrow like never before. Amen (by Pastor John MacArthur).
Little sins can become epic if not dealt with ;)
Little sins can become epic if not dealt with ;)
Guard your heart, mind, thoughts, and never put yourself in a place that is not Holy.
